Yellow Train school, Coimbatore, India
In February 2025, I traveled to Tamil Nadu to consult with Yellow Train School. I taught 7th grade main lessons in physics and geometry, as teachers observed. This was followed by several question and answer sessions and a workshop on science teaching in the middle school.
Laurence’s visit to Yellow Train was truly inspiring for both students and teachers. Her calm, confident presence and her ability to engage children through thoughtful, leading questions made learning come alive. The students thoroughly enjoyed her sessions and were able to recall what they learnt with remarkable clarity.
As teachers, we gained immensely from her sessions as well. Laurence introduced us to simple yet powerful experiments to teach concepts in Mathematics and Physics, and offered valuable guidance on how to make the sciences meaningful for middle schoolers.
Since her visit, we have seen a visible improvement in our students’ curiosity and understanding. Laurence’s work has left a lasting impact on our teaching and on the way our children experience learning.
We are deeply grateful for her clarity, warmth, and dedication to nurturing both teachers and students.
