Uday Waldorf Inspired School

Jaipur, India

In February 2026, I was invited to consult with Uday Waldorf Inspired School on their developing middle school. I observed and mentored teachers, met with parents, taught classes while teachers observed, and shared main lesson resources in science and geometry.

We had the pleasure of hosting Ms Laurence at Uday Waldorf-inspired school for training sessions for teachers. Her training sessions were quite informative, insightful and helpful in understanding the Waldorf way of teaching and learning.Ms Laurence has in-depth knowledge and expertise in all subjects, especially Science, Mathematics, and Astronomy. I attended all her sessions, and there was so much to learn from her. Her geometry session on the Golden ratio was amazing. Her thoughts, ideas and approach to learning are commendable.  Her years of experience and knowledge have helped me to understand Waldorf pedagogy as a new teacher in a Waldorf school.

Laurence Jaquet spent two enriching weeks with us at Uday, and her presence was deeply valuable for our learning community. During her time here, she worked closely with our teachers and the students in Grades 6 and 7, bringing thoughtful insights and a spirit of collaboration to every interaction.

What stood out most was her flexibility and sensitivity to the school's needs. Rather than following a fixed structure, Laurence carefully observed our context and tailored her sessions accordingly. Her work with the middle school, especially in Mathematics and Science, was particularly helpful. She offered practical approaches and perspectives that supported both teachers and students in strengthening conceptual understanding while remaining aligned with the spirit of Waldorf education.

Beyond the formal sessions, our many informal conversations with Laurence were equally enriching. Discussions around Waldorf education, child development, pedagogy, and the realities of working within a school environment greatly broadened our perspectives. She drew on her extensive experience in Waldorf education, offering thoughtful reflections and insights that sparked meaningful dialogue among the teachers.

Laurence also took the time to engage with our parent community. Her session on Waldorf education and its deeper intentions was both insightful and reassuring for families, helping them understand the value and long-term vision of this educational path.

We are grateful for the warmth, wisdom, and clarity she brought to Uday. Her visit was inspiring for our teachers, meaningful for our students, and enriching for our wider school community.
